1st Flights with E-Wings Electric Turbines

A few months ago, we decided to achieve a dream: flying a Wingsuit with Electric Turbines! David had an engineering background and electric power as a hobby. I had the aeronautical, stunt and piloting experience.
Team was born.
We?ve never seen each other. David lives in China. I travel trought Europe flying wingsuits with Marine.
However, in less than 8 months, we managed to create a prototype of E-wings!
4 carbon Engines mounted on my chest with a carbon support plate, fed by 900 Amperes flowing out of powerful batteries, and spinning at 28000 rpm !
Sound is simply amazing !
Top of that, exciting special features made on my wingsuit, skifully rigged by Jim Parachutisme.

But Covid was starting to lock the World again and rushing schedules. We ended up building our magic toy in the basement of David?s parents, with the providencial help of Cedric Noel.
After positive ground tests, it was time. With growing worlwide madness mirroring our own controlled madness, we went for it?
And Waow !!!! Test flights went perfect ! Pure elation !
What a team achievement, and the beginning of a whole new adventure for this sport!
Full of joy and enthusiasm, we were ready to record that dream throught the camera lens of Meeting Point Studio.
2nd Lockdown did not allow it.

2 weeks later, pilot Peter Salzmann beautifully displayed on medias how he successfully flew his wingsuit with 2 electric fans, a project supported by a car manufacturer.
Perfectly and majestically executed! Congratulations!
Such mixed feelings in my head? Respect and awe for what this pilot had done, stupefaction that we developed the 2 same projects exactly at the same time, disapointment of loosing the time race, a bit of relief not being the only crazy dreamer, and a strong hope that it?s actually gonna be the launch pad for higher performances !
Feels already better!

Our E-wings is already 2 times more powerful with its 4 engines, and there is so much space for optimization ! Can you imagine throttle being progressively activated by bending a thumb ?
We did it: integrated electronics in a glove.
We have ideas, passion, experience, skills, love... In this self-funded project, only money is missing.
I believe we can reach unexpected flying with a wing that exhaust only Air !
